Best pizza and Italian food in the area. Great family owned restaurant. Both Fuquay Varina and Apex locations are always consistent. We've been customers since they opened their original location in 1995. Have tried many other Italian restaurants but none compare to J&S. We dine in or take out at least once a week. They do catering and also have a room for events at their Aoex location. Outdoor dining available at Fuquay Location.

This is a very homey kind of restaurant I'm a big pizza lover and when some stick out against the rest I think this place has pizza to crave for!

My wife and I love the lasagna here! The portion is amazing and we get 2 meals out of it! The bread (sorry no picture) you get with your lasagna is perfect! We tried the fried mushrooms today and thought they were very good!

Pizza by the slice. Just like NYC.. Thin crust is crispy and full of flavor. I'm a cheese guy and was not disappointed. Not greasy and salty like most.

I really wish I could give this place more stars. I love their chicken parm and eggplant parm. And their cannolis aren't too bad either. But as a Jersey girl, I cannot forgive their undercooked pizza crust, EVERY SINGLE TIME. I always order my pizza well done, and it still comes undercooked. The flavor isn't bad, but it's overshadowed by crust that is so pale and underdone. One other dish they either need to completely revamp or just take off their menus is their carbonara. It is loaded, and I mean loaded, with onions! And it has cream in it. It should not. It's supposed to be bacon (pancetta), onion (a bit, not a ton) and egg pasta. There should not be a ton of onions or any cream.

Rainy day, vacation might be the best time to seat and eat here. We didn't have a lot of time in between classes and it's great that no one was here. So we got served quickly. They are still getting a lot of pick up so it's not like they have no business. But they are efficient. Our server is really nice and attentive. The music was in good taste and it's not too loud. The food came out fast and warm. I like how they served the chicken on the salad. The chicken was juicy, good flavour and not dry. The mozzarella sticks was fun to eat. My kids were having a contest on who will have a longer string of cheese. The calamari had a nice texture, crispy, and well seasoned. The kids spaghetti and ravioli was the right portion. It came with a lot of sauce which was nice. The meatball was not super hot so she was able to eat it. Overall, it's a good place to eat. When it's nice, they can be packed. If you do not want to dine-in, you can always do takeaway.

Okay so wife and I ate here last night and we really enjoyed it. The weather was amazing so we wanted to sit outside. We only ordered a single pizza. No apps, no desserts. And the pizza was really good. Well cooked too - the crust had a great crisp to it. I need to come back here and try it a 2nd time to really confirm this review, but it's good pizza. Not much flop, good undercarriage, not too oily, and good crust.
